Southern facade
Orientation is always something important on site, and must be considered carefully to create efficient living spaces. I placed my house with the large glazed facade facing southernly, while the northern wall supports a long and narrow window very high up, avoiding direct sunlight into working areas. Also incorporated in the design is a large overhead skylight and an open glazed coutryard providing plenty of daylight into the house.

The house's placement is positioned with the North easternly cornerpartially tucked into the hillside.

One key idea from location and place was to use natural meterials to suit the surrounding environment. Ideally having stone walls and all internal fixings as timber.
